Angel Tree Ministry

Developed by the Prison Fellowship Ministry, this unique ministry provides the opportunity to share the love of Christ. Help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs for families of prisoners. Connect parents in prison with their children through the purchase and delivery of Christmas gifts & the good news of Jesus Christ.

Bradford Oaks

Come join the rewarding ministry that serves the Bradford Oaks Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center! Our volunteers from Fort Foote Baptist Church provide spiritual support, comfort, and nurturing through personal contact and program participation.

Central Union Missions

Fort Foote Baptist Church provides clothing and personal items to the men living in the Central Union shelter. Through personal contact from the Men for Christ Ministry, the men of this shelter are fed spiritually and given encouragement through the Word of God. Each month, on the fourth Tuesday, the church provides a guest minister to deliver the Word.

Christle Lighthouse Pregnancy Center

This Christian-based pregnancy center provides baby items, counseling, education and the love of God to women in crisis pregnancies. Fort Foote Baptist Church hosts annually a baby bottle campaign to support the pregnancy center.. The campaign provides monetary support by collecting hundreds of bottles filled with change and checks. 

Women in need have come to rely on the support of the center for everything they need in order to have a healthy happy baby. To join us in filling that need, contact Sis. Alicia Kenley.

Clothing Den

This ministry spends countless hours organizing, sorting, and distributing gently used clothing to those in need of clothes.

Food Pantry

The members and volunteers of this loving ministry provide a variety of food items to those in need. These food items are distributed on a monthly basis, as well as preparing food baskets during the holiday season, specifically Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Fort Washington Rehab Center

In support of our local community, volunteers from Fort Foote Baptist Church minister to the Fort Washington Rehabilitation Center. This ministry provides spiritual support, comfort, and nurturing through personal contact and program participation.

International Missions

This ministry provides an opportunity to engage our members and other church members on foreign, short and/or long term mission trips. Notable trips: Africa and Jamaica.

Our efforts in Africa involved evangelism, feeding and giving aid to the poor and also children in grade schools. Our efforts in Jamaica include evangelism, visiting prisons, orphanages, assisting young mothers, rebuilding/renovating a church and feeding the poor.

Jerusalem Ministry

This ministry combines the Fort Foote Baptist Church members and the local community for the betterment of the community. These volunteers give generously of their time and talent in primarily meeting landscaping and minor home repair needs to those who can least afford it and are in need of spiritual care and fellowship.

Johenning Baptist Center

Fort Foote Baptist Church supports the Christian Children's Feeding Program. Through food drives and by preparing meals, we are serving the community. During the Christmas season, our church family provides critical clothing needed for the wintery weather and gifts for children.

Martha's Table

Join a ministry dedicated to serving the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. Fort Foote Baptist Church members and volunteers assist in preparing critical meals to be distributed throughout the streets of DC. Come help make sandwiches, chop vegetables, and more to positively impact low-income and homeless individuals.

National Mall

This is one-day annual evangelism event on the National Mall in Washington, DC. During this event, we are given an opportunity to witness and win souls to Jesus. As the National Mall is a heavily visited tourist location, we reach souls internationally and locally.

What happens? Volunteers hand out Bibles, Bible tracts, cups of cold water symbolizing the living water of Jesus Christ, and receive prayer request. The children's ministry participates in a puppet show and the liturgical dance ministry minister in dance. To join in, please contact Sis. Roxanne Ledbetter.

Prince George's Homeless Shelter

Fort Foote Baptist Church along with the Maryland Homeless Shelter provide supportive services of both physical and spiritual nature to persons who are homeless. The church provides clothing and personal items. Each year a day is set aside to provide and serve dinner for the men living in the shelter.

SHARE Program

Fort Foote Baptist Church is a host site for receiving orders for anyone who wishes to supplement their grocery needs by purchasing a share food package. The church volunteers work with the Share Food Network located in Hyattsville, Maryland to provide this service. Share gift certificates for the needy are available to purchase. Orders are taken each month and distribution occurs once a month, usually on the third or fourth Saturday of the month.

The Share Food Network provides an opportunity for school students to acquire volunteer service hours. Volunteer hours are offered to anyone at the Hyattsville warehouse.

Shepherd's Cove

Our church members provide the women and children of Shepherd's Cove Homeless shelter with the essential clothing and toiletry items needed for daily use. Through this ministry, we facilitate impactful programs to bring spiritual comfort and continued spiritual support of mind, body and spirit during a person's time spent at this shelter.

Tract Ministry

In the mission of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, the Tract Ministry provides a variety of spiritual literature to the Fort Foote Baptist Church community and to the public. This literature includes Daily Word pamphlets for members and friends.
